MIRNEWS.388 7 OCTOBER 1997 Progress-M35: The undocking of this freighter failed on 6.10 at 1124UTC. Cause was a human error: the crew had forgotten to remove a clamp from the docking mechanism (the Russian word is 'styazhka', a clamp or spanner to tighten the docking). The Russians decided to postpone the undocking until 7.10. On 7.10.1997 at 12.03.47UTC Pr-M35 separated from MIR and after a short period in which Pr-M35 hovered at a distance of 10 Meters Pr-M35 moved away for a short autonomous flight. The decay in the atmosphere over a designated area in the Pacific East of New Zealand will take place at 1734UTC. Progress-M36: The docking of this freighter at MIR has been put back until 8.10.1997 at 1713UTC. Chris v.d. Berg, NL-9165/A-UK3202.
